Car Timing Belt Replacement Intervals – How Many Miles can you get out it?

Timing Belt is Rubberized material toothed belt to link camshaft & crankshaft. It works fine if you don’t see and observe Timing Belt bad symptoms.  It is highly recommended to replace on specified intervals to get your engine working fine. Misaligned & over or less stretched belt would break early.

  • Owners do not want to replace because of high costing and replacement of timing belt is not only replacing this part. Sometimes interlinked parts like water pumps, tensioner, timing pulleys are also effected with time passage. Owner can save cost if they know timing belt replacement procedure. Do it yourself. Its easy.
  • Keep checking your belt after sometime. Whenever you visit mechanic, ask him to check belt too if it is loose or tight. Loose belt creates slippages and tight belt harms pulleys.
  • Also check belt tooth. Observe closely.  Ask your mechanic to check pulleys if you find any tooth broke.
  • Try cleaning. You can use high pressure air to remove dust or sand. Do it specially when you wash your car..
